More On Mother's Day 2008!

Youth Do-Something-For-Mum Day, 2.30pm

The youth gathered in church earlier to make something for our respective mums. Many thanks to Qi for the Origami book, to sis and the older girls who planned it, and to the youth for turning up!

First, the origami session.

the guys were excited! ...and maybe a little confused.

origami guru to the rescue. note: sharma's intensity tipped the table.

tada! our standing heart! (it stands, ok)
ignore the cacatness at the bottom of the heart. my bad.

would look like this if don't fold the sides in. *superman!*

Next, Sin yee handles the chocolates.

"very easy wan. like wrapping dumplings."

*stunned silence*

*teacher... we dunno how to wrap dumplings."

it's harder than you think.

siap! plus the message for our mums in the slot behind the heart.

Hodohnyer... I should've snapped somebody else's art. -_-" Yeah, well, at least the hands didn't sweat and completely disintegrate the paper. *thinking positive*

Mother's Day Celebration, 4pm

Yen posted most of everything already, so I'll add a little bit only.

This was taken from my position on the floor. cuz i round 2 adi kalah.
yes, i'm ashamed. but it happens. =P

shaun girl-izing helping the kids with the art.

"Your name's Kaka?"
"Yup."
"Whoa, did you know that's a famous footballer?"
"Uh-huh."

...I am so not good at this.

Thank God for the Klebang footballers who decided to turn up! Kiat Siong couldn't make it at the last minute though. =( Oh ya, the kids are asking for our handphones in a slightly more polite manner already. So don't hesitate to tell them to say "please" and "thank you" when they ask us for our electronic gadgets! Continue to pray for the follow-up efforts ya.

Many thanks to Auntie Yu Ming for coordinating the event, Mrs Chuah for going house to house to summon (so to speak) the Klebang kids to the event and talk to their parents, Uncle Rodney for the singing session, Juliana for leading the games, and to the youth for your fantastic cooperation and effort in handling the kids and making them feel at home.

By the way, Yen made a comment about the good turn-ups at Children's Hour events.

It's because Auntie Yu Ming diligently calls up the parents of the children one by one.

=)
