Quick News

Sarah's dad's operation was successful and now, he's resting at well, the resting room... He's alrite for now.. So, do pray that he will get well soon k? ^ ^ Prayer is very important ppl... Really very important...

For those who dun know about Dr. Sean's story, he was actually dead for a good 55 minutes.. not 55 seconds... 55 minutes...!! And according to him, if ur brain is dead for 30 minutes, u're most likely to be vegetable-lize... But he's not a vegetable.. He's still rocking and kicking... ^ ^

Okay, the story goes smth like this.. (I may get the dates wrong but I'll try..)
On the 17th of October 2008 (yeah, last year), Dr. Sean and some of his working khe-liks (dunno spelling) went to an island to give medical treatments and to spread The Word. He was supposed to stay there for a week only and supposed to leave on friday. But a fewdays before that, it rained heavily and planes cannot go over to the island and pick him up. So, he prayed and guess wat? 2 hours later, around 4 pm, if I wasn't mistaken, an emergency helicopter arrives and picked them up... So, Dr. Sean and 3 other khe-liks went back to Esperance to relax himself.. And they all went for a 5 star hotel treat. Hehe... After that, Dr. Sean and his intern drove back to Kalgoorlie-Boulder. And when he left about 55km from reaching that place, he felt uncomfortable. Before that, in the morning also he felt uncomfortable at his chest. He thought it was the food that he had the day before. So, he just buat tak pa la... Then when on the way home, he felt the discomfort again, so, he ask his intern to check his pulse and well, everything was alright. So, he called Auntie Sherry, his wife, and told that he's feeling uneasy and ask for her opinion... Auntie Sherry said since so near d, why not drive straight back here and go to the hospital in Kalgoorlie? Since they got better equipments and everything there. But Dr. Sean felt the Holy Spirit strongly telling him to stop and go to the nearby clinic. He went to the clinic and got a check up. And since he knows how to read the report and when he saw his own report in his hand he said "Oh, I'm having a heart attack".. After that, he suddenly got a cardiovascular failure (i forgot wat's the term d). It is when his heart totally no movement no pumping, no respiration, no nothing. So, he was actually dead at that moment. So, the doctor over there start pressing hard on his chest and give him life support. According to him, he was pressed over 4000 times at his chest. And normally, ppl will get 3 to 4 electrical shocks.. There.. The 1s where the doctors shout "Clear" and press two things on his chest.. But Dr. Sean got 17 or was it 13 electrical shocks.. And normally, according to standard procedure, normally they will give life support for 20 to 30 minutes tops.. But Dr. Sean was given life support for about 55 minutes. One of the doctors called Auntie Sherry and told her that he has a heart attack and ask her to go to the clinic there.. Auntie Sherry cried and sms her father saying that she's going over there to collect a dead body. Her father called her back and told her "No, Sean is only 39 and u go over there and pray" She went there and the doctor who gave Dr. Sean the life support said, "I'm very very sorry, but Sean's gone.. I'll give u a few more minutes with him to say ur last few words" Auntie Sherry was in total shock but she followed wat her dad said.. She went into the room where there laid Dr. Sean's body.. She went there and all the doctors and nurses have stopped giving him the life support, just pumping some air only.. She took Dr. Sean's hand and prayed "God, Sean is only 39 and we're having a 10 year-old boy.. Please bring him back"

"beep.. beep... beep..." goes the machine and Dr. Sean was back to life. Nobody could explain how or why and well, after resting for a couple of days, he's back on his feet... Now, he's pretty much back to normal and he's still feeling pain until today because of the 4000 over presses on his chest.. They were not just any kind of press, he actually said like jumps, it's like those doctors who were giving CPR was literally jumping on him.. Now, he needs prayer for 2 things.. 1 is for his voice.. the other is for his trip again this august.. He's going back to the island again.. This time, with his whole family..

I know, i know... This story sounds totally ridiculous but it's a real story..

Dr. Sean and some of our church peeps..

This is a map of Australia..

The map is for u to see Esperance and Kalgoorlie.. Oh ya, click on the picture to enlarge it.. Sorry, the quality isn't there.. T.T anyway, this is a real true story of wat prayer can really do..

So, in conclusion, do pray for Sarah's dad k? We need ur prayers... Thank You... ^ ^

For Those Confused

The mystery of Sin Yee's case has confused a lot of us, but after talking to Kah Wei, I hope I can get all of you to understand what really happened.

The course she applied for was only for '07 graduates, but she was a '08 graduate. She only found out about that little important information when she bought the registration form. Yeah, bought. Something like that.

Since she already bought the form, she decided to go with it anyway. Then everything seemed to go on smoothly until January with no one pointing out a problem. She went to Johor to undergo the 9 months training.

At the 2nd day being there, the Ministry (as they call it) told her about the '07 problem and asked her to go back the next day. Kah Wei went down on Wednesday at 10a.m. Sin Yee packed her stuff, signed out, and they went for some jalan-jalan.

Halfway through the jalaning, the Ministry called her and told her that the '08 rule was abolished and that she could come back.

That's what happened. I hope I got the facts right. I hope Kah Wei gave the right facts. That's all.

Latest Update

Sin Yee is coming back to Malacca. It seems they only accept 2007 graduates and she is a '08 graduate. I do not really grasp the whole thing, so if possible, reserve your questions until we meet tomorrow. Give Kah Wei and Sin Yee a break alright?

She is coming back tomorrow so pray that the one driving her home may be alert and drive carefully. Also, pray that she may be strong and attentive as God directs her.

She Has Left

As many of you would already know, Chai Hoe's mom has passed away on Sunday. Pray for the family as this is the time where they might question God. Pray that God will uphold them, give them the strength they need and that this incident will not make them lose trust in God, but rather trust Him more.

I'm not a very good writer when it comes to writing these news but I do know from past experiences that the comfort we can take from this is that she is already a believer and is right now with God in a better place. She accepted Jesus Christ as her saviour during the last few weeks of her time on earth. For those whose parents might already be aged or close friends not accepting the Lord yet, let us remember, that everything works in God's time.

And His time is always perfect.

Updates *EDIT*

For a lighter note, Daniel claimed his first week in Sabah did not go very well. This is because the registration thingy has some problems due to lack of server maintenance. Also, he was supposed to take another subject and drop one but because of the registration problem problem, he ended up taking nine subjects instead of eight. So here's where we come in handy: Pray that he might be able to settle this problem as soon as possible and he will be strong during his time there. He is the only MGC in Sabah right now, so sending him an SMS or two helps a lot.

Sin Yee seems to be doing just fine in her first day in Johor. She said she feels like she is going back to university because there is orientation, singing songs and wearing baju kurung the whole day. She even had the time to message that she is hot! (because of the baju kurung, not the hot joke)

That should be all for this week. If you have anything for us to pray for, feel free to message any of the youths or the bloggers and we will pray and update on the blog for you.

Oh ya, before I end, if possible, try having a chat with those outside Malacca. Let them know personally that you remember them. Actions do speak louder than words, but if actions cannot be shown, words are effective.

christmas update?

Hey guys! As much as I want to upload the videos I took of the Christmas thingy, I can't do so because:

  1. Connection to Photobucket is quite tellible here.
  2. Uploading a (note: a) video using Blogger is like asking a dead fish to swim.
  3. Methinks the college barred Youtube or something, cuz I can't even watch Jon Mclaughlin's So Close video.

That's why. Huhu. Plus I don't have pictures at all. Can't write without pictures. Nah-ah.

So... er... when I next get back to Malacca only upload la.

Buhbye!
