It's good that Shaun and Jessica are there together, so that they can keep each other accountable when they get back to the real world.

Jessica finds it boring (true that got nothing much to do there actually), and Shaun is still praying for a fellow male to join GLO so that he can have a sama-species companion.

Let's remember to pray for them too!

Anything But Ordinary

Yup. That's our theme for the RBS night this Saturday. Details:

RBS is short for Residential Bible School. It's sort of like a Bible School, except it's only for a month or so. The students (usually after Form 5, sometimes older) come from all over Malaysia, live together and do practically everything together. They have their own groups for devotions, games, and mission trips. This time round, we're welcoming a team headed by Lue Jun Yi (from SAGC) and Ann Choo, who also supervised the RBS team last year. We get different teams every time because the students change all the time la.

Different people, different ideas, different events.

Last year we had a skit and games.

What'll we have this year?

I have no idea. Seriously. Even Yen Mei (event coordinator) doesn't know. Probably cuz the team only begins to draft out their plan when they get here (which is on Thursday).

Residential Bible School (RBS) 2008

Basic Details

Date : 26 December 2007 - 31 January 2008
Venue : Highlands Christian Centre (HCC), Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands

RBS is targeted at students in their late teens, specifically those who have just completed Form 5 and 6 and are waiting for their exam results. Others may apply and will be considered on an individual basis. Preference is given to youth from Brethren assemblies throughout Malaysia. Applicants from non-Brethren churches will be considered on a standby basis.
You must be a born-again Christian and the leaders of your church must approve your application to attend RBS.
If you are accepted, you must attend the entire duration of the school (exceptions will only be provided for family emergencies).

Cost

• Registration Cost: RM950 per person. You will be required to pay RM500. The balance of RM450 will be paid by your church. This fee covers all materials, food and accommodation during the length of RBS 2008, personal accident insurance and transport to and from your mission trip destinations.
• Transportation Cost: You will have to pay for and arrange your own transportation to Cameron Highlands at the start of RBS and your transportation home after RBS.
  
• Other Expenses: E.g. laundry, own food, book purchases. All students are required to purchase one book for a book report during RBS. You may allocate about RM40 for this.

Closing date: 26 September 2007 Applications received after this date will either be rejected or subjected to a late registration penalty of RM50. Applications received without the RM100 deposit will also be rejected. There is a maximum student enrolment of 48 students (places at RBS usually fill up very quickly) All applications will be treated on a first-come, first-served basis.
